New Perimeter
Communicating a fresh approach to pro bono
The challenge
New Perimeter, a non-profit organization established by DLA Piper, collaborates with charitable organizations, governments and academic institutions to provide pro bono legal assistance in underserved regions around the world.
The organization approached us to overhaul their web presence to better communicate the programme’s unique vision, mission and focus areas.
Solution
Results from user testing and competitor reviews were used to define the strategic direction for the website revamp. This included a greater focus on conveying project impact and geographic reach, together with stronger use of video and photographic content.
Communicating
impact
- To better highlight project impact, the site was overhauled to reflect aggregated, long-term project statistics on the home page, as well as project-specific statistics on project pages.
- Project pages additionally feature image galleries and supporting media to illustrate project impact.
Conveying
reach
-
An updateable home page world map was coded to highlight the global nature of the programme. Markers are clickable to project detail pages.
- The site also features stories by pro bono lawyers on project experiences, as well as blog articles and press releases.
The result
The revamped site better reflects the programme’s unique approach to pro bono, with a specific focus on geographic reach, long-term project commitment, capacity building and the potential for effecting real systemic change.
